UNION TOWNSHIP, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Cops say a woman who was panhandling, claiming she needed money for her baby, really knew how to accessorize.

Police in Union Township are warning drivers to watch out for out-of-town scammers, after the woman was found carrying a $500 purse containing an iPhone X and jewelry.
Cops say they caught the woman soliciting funds at an exit to Route 78. She told police she was a Romanian living in Queens.
"Their investigation led her to admit that she and several other women got dropped off to panhandle throughout NJ," police said on Facebook.
The woman was ticketed for impeding traffic and received a summons for soliciting.
