Patrols to increase in Bay Ridge after dozens of vehicles vandalized, tires slashed

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police plan on adding light and increasing patrols after dozens of Brooklyn residents had their tires slashed on Sunday morning.

At least 32 cars were vandalized, along Shore Road from 72nd Street to Bay Ridge Parkway in Bay Ridge, police said.

Some cars were also keyed and had scratches.Tow trucks removed vehicles over a three block radius.

According to a report from CBS 2, neighbors have been pushing for the Department of Transportation and Parks Department to add permanent lighting and surveillance cameras to Shore Road.The slashings are curently under police investigation.
