NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The latest "challenge" to go viral on Tik Tok isn't something most people would voluntary embrace: Urinating in your pants.
But with so many people staying at home in recent weeks, it appears Tik Tok users have gotten bored -- or more creative, depending on how you look at it -- and expanded the norms of what crosses the line and what doesn't.
The #peeyourpantschallenge hashtag currently has about 4 million views on TikTok.
It's pretty straightforward: Film yourself in front of a mirror saying "pee your pants challenge," then, let your bladder take over. In many of the Tik Tok videos, you see the individual's pants noticeably get wet. It's obviously not possible to confirm that the person actually urinated.
The "challenge" was started with an April 21 video from comedian Liam Weyer, 21, of Kansas. In the video, a wet spot grows increasingly bigger on his sweatpants. From there, the "challenge" grew in popularity.
"I am definitely surprised that the challenge actually became a trend," Weyer told Insider. "I created the challenge as a parody of the other challenges that have gone viral on the internet in an attempt to show how pointless they are."
Mission accomplished, Liam.
