NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are asking for the public's help in finding the driver who struck and injured a 14-year-old girl in Brooklyn.
The vehicle sent the girl flying -- but thankfully she only had minor injuries, including bruising to her torso and legs, and is expected to be OK.
Police released shocking surveillance video of the March 27 incident on Sunday.
The NYPD says the girl was crossing the street at 47th Street and Ninth Avenue in Borough Park, when she was struck by a black Dodge Challenger with Georgia license plates.
The impact caused the young girl to go airborne, the video shows.
The driver got out of the car to check on her, but police say she then drove off after a witness called 911.
