NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for two females seen throwing objects at a synagogue in Brooklyn during Rosh Hashanah services in a video released Wednesday night.

On September 30, at 5:29 p.m., several suspects approached a Williamsburg synagogue located at 89 Throop Avenue, where police say they kicked the door and threw a milk crate as well as another object at the windows before fleeing the scene.

Moments later, the suspects returned and two females threw a milk crate and a metal object at the widows again, causing it to break.

In a tweet, Mayor Bill de Blasio called the vandalism "a shocking act of hate."“We WILL find the perpetrators and hold them responsible," he added.

Police ask anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
