NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- More fallout following the Netflix's miniseries "When They See Us'' which dramatizes the events surrounding the Central Park Five trial.According to a report from the The New York Post, on Wednesday, Elizabeth Lederer informed Columbia Law School that she would not seek renewal of her job as a part-time lecturer due to negative backlash that the series has generated.Lederer was the lead prosecutor in the case in which five teenagers were wrongfully convicted in the 1989 rape and beating of a woman jogging in Central Park. The law school dean says in a letter the miniseries "reignited a painful - and vital - national conversation about race, identity, and criminal justice.''Lederer's move comes after Linda Fairstein, who at the time headed Manhattan's sex crimes, was dropped by her publisher.
Fairstein has stated that the series was full of falsehoods, which was dismissed by the director.
