NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Long Island have added an alleged puppy thief to their "Most Wanted" list — and are offering a reward for information leading to his arrest.

Nicholas Citron, 22, allegedly used another person's name and information to open a line of credit at The Canine Corral, a pet store in Huntington Station, on Oct. 28, Suffolk County police said.

After opening the line of credit, Citron used it to buy two Yorkshire Terrier puppies from the store for approximately $4,500, according to police.

The Suffolk County Police Department on Tuesday added Citron to its "Most Wanted" list.

In addition to the second-degree identity theft and second-degree possession of a forged instrument felony warrants that are out for his arrest, Citron is also wanted for probation violation for first-degree attempted robbery, police said.

Police believe he may be in Babylon, Bay Shore, Nassau County or New York City. The department is offering a cash reward for information leading to his arrest.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
