NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Despite the seeming plethora of evidence against R. Kelly, in a new interview he has denied claims he ever held any woman against her will or had sexual relations with underage females.
"Not true," he responded to Gayle King, when she asked during a "CBS This Morning" airing Wednesday about the charges against him. "Whether they are old rumors, new rumors, future rumors, not true ... I didn't do this stuff."
"I will tell you this: People are going back to my past and they are trying to add all of this stuff now to that to make all of the stuff going on feel real to people," he said.
R. Kelly also claimed it's "not fair" that allegations of sex with underage females have fallen upon him again, since he was acquitted of child pornography charges in 2008,
"No it's not [fair>," he said. "Because for one, I beat my case. You can't double jeopardy me. It's not fair."
The singer also said he never held any women against their will. "I dont need to," he said. That's stupid. Use your common sense. How stuoid would it be with my crazy past and what Ive been through."
R. Kellt was released from a Chicago jail last month on bail after his lawyer pleaded not guilty on his behalf to all 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse that he faces. He's accused of sexually abusing four people dating back to 1998, including three underage girls.
