NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Rev. Al Sharpton along with the chairman of National Action Network have called on churches to refrain from holding gatherings as Palm Sunday and Easter Holy Week approaches.

"I convened a call with the heads of the nation’s largest historically Black religious denominations & other faith leaders to call on clergy to refrain from having church services as we head into Palm Sunday and Easter Holy Week," Sharpton tweeted.
The Conference of National Black Churches also called for pastors to discontinue services that aren't online.
