NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —Sami's law is being signed in New Jersey today.
The law will require ride-hailing companies in the state to improve passenger safety.
This, after Samantha Josephson, a University of South Carolina student from Robbinsville was kidnapped and killed after getting into a car she thought was her Uber in march.
The new law would require cars and vans to display illuminated company signs and data on the back of the vehicle which a passenger can check.
