She followed a mantra all young Jewish women are instilled with: marry young, build a family and live happily ever after. She did just that for the first 50 years her life. She built a beautiful family, had children, grandchildren, and built a world far away from the gay community. Sandy suppressed her true sexuality because she never had anyone to truly confide in and for fear of how her children would take the news.
