NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- State Sen. Zellnor Myrie called out New York City Housing Authority via Twitter on Wednesday after seeing conditions at the Reid Housing Projects in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

Myrie was conducting a "#WalkthroughWednesdays" in the housing complex on Maple Street between Troy and Albany avenues which had caught fire several weeks earlier saw the remnants of the fire and that little had been done since.

He threatened NYCHA with a 24-hour ultimatum saying that there "will be hell to pay" if there isn't a satisfactory response within that time frame.

"No one should be living in these conditions,"Myrie added. The building is a senior development and in the video, Myrie focused on the poor conditions of the ceilings and floors in the hallway.

"Seniors had to escape through their windows. Many were hospitalized. Yet, in those 7 weeks, NYCHA has done nothing to remediate. I have the smell of the fire in my nostrils as I write this. I am outraged. Who knows what our seniors have been breathing in for 7 wks" he wrote.

Myrie then spoke directly to the camera and demanded that the ash-infested hallways be cleaned up immediately.

"I am DISGUSTED & ENRAGED that in a SENIOR development, you allow people to live in a burnt out floor for 7 WEEKS with NO HELP" he captioned the video on Twitter. The housing authority did not immediately respond to request for comment.
