Serial subway disrupter arrested in violent subway shove caught on video

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man caught on video shoving a woman into a train at a Brooklyn subway station Wednesday and who is also responsible for hundreds of subway delays and disruptions has been arrested, police said.

Charges are pending against Isiah Thompson, 28, who police called a recidivist offender.

Police believe Thompson is the same guy who pulled emergency brakes on trains causing more than 700 subway delays.

Thompson, was seen jumping and up and down several times and screaming "What!" before initially shove someone else at the station. He then shoves the unsuspecting woman with both hands, and she falls face first into the train.

MTA NYC Transit President Andy Byford issued the following statement on the woman pushed at DeKalb Avenue:"Enough is enough. This individual is a criminal and it's unacceptable that he be allowed to continue to create mayhem on the subways, mayhem he admits is deliberate, that puts riders' and MTA employees' lives at risk. He should be banned from the system – period."Police were called to the station but the victim left the scene without seeking any medical attention.Like 1010 WINS on Facebook and follow @1010WINS on Twitter to get breaking news, traffic, and weather for New York City.
