NEW YORK (1010 WINS) A woman packing groceries into her car was stabbed by a stranger right outside Whole Foods in Brooklyn Monday night, authorities say.

The stranger said nothing but “Hello,” prior to the attack, which appeared to be unprovoked, according to police.

The incident occurred outside the Third Street location in Gowanus before 10 p.m.

The victim was stabbed in her left hand and a good Samaritan helped her as she awaited police.

She is expected to be okay.

The investigation is continuing.
