DENVER (1010 WINS) -- A threat that prompted the closing of Denver area schools just days before the 20th anniversary of the Columbine school shooting, has been cleared.

Some of the biggest school districts in Colorado were shut down, including Columbine, after authorities say Sol Pais, 18, made the trip up from Florida, bought a gun, and disappeared.

By late morning local time, authorities said there was no longer a threat, with multiple reports that Pais was dead.

CBS Denver reports, Pais had made comments about the April 20, 1999 shooting that were cause for concern and that she was apparently 'infatuated with the perpetrators of Columbine.'

Pais had not made any specific threats, but did purchase a pump-action shotgun after arriving in Colorado, CBS Denver reports.
