NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Three people, including a 17-year-old boy, were shot and killed in New York City in less than 10 hours from Friday into Saturday—the latest incidents of gun violence in the boroughs.
The 17-year-old, identified as Jahiem Guinn, was shot outside his apartment building at the Weeksville Gardens Houses on Dean Street, near Troy Avenue in Crown Heights, around 10:20 p.m. Friday, police said.
Guinn was taken to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Hours before he was killed, a 39-year-old man was fatally shot in Crown Heights around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
The man, identified as Ancil Blackman, was shot in the face in front of the Miller Evangelical Christian Union Church on President Street, police said.
Blackman was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

Then around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, a 58-year-old man was shot and killed at the Frederick Douglass Playground on W. 101st Street on the Upper West Side, police said.
Officers arrived to find him shot in the chest. He was taken to Mount Sinai Saint Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been reported in the shootings.
According to NYPD numbers, shootings are up more than 60 percent citywide this year compared to the same time last year.
Last week, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a plan to end gun violence in the city. It includes increasing the presence of the NYPD and community members in hotspots.
