NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A teenage boy is under arrest after a 16-year-old girl was hit in the shoulder by a stray bullet in Queens.The 16-year-old boy was arrested two days after surveillance video of three males wanted in connection to the shooting was released.
Ashley Amoorgan, 16, was shot outside of New Dawn Charter High School on Monday after a fight broke out.
The teen was the second of two teens struck by a stray bullet in two days, according to NYPD.
Authorities believe Amoorgan was not the intended target.
"She said she seen some guys fighting and she walked across the street… She heard a gunshot, when she heard the shot she run, when she was running she heard the next shot and she kept running and then she fell. She couldn't go anymore when she fell she realized she feel for her jacket and she was bleeding," Amoorgan's father told CBS2.
The 16-year-old boy is facing charges that include attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
Two other teens were also arrested after being seen on surveillance video in Rockaway, 1010WINS' Juliet Papa reported. They were sought in connection with recent incidents of gang violence, according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea.
Shea said the girl outside the school was shot about an hour after the bus incident, Papa reported.
All three have multiple recent arrests, including robbery and gun possession. Some were arrested four times just this year, Papa reported.
