NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The theme and hosts for the 2020 Met Gala were announced Thursday.
Lin-Manuel Miranda and Emma Stone will serve as co-chairs of the gala along with Meryl Streep who will be attending for the first time.
Next year's theme: "About Time: Fashion and Duration."
The curator of the Costume Institute, Andrew Bolton, had to develop a gala theme for this milestone year.
"I wanted to do an exhibition focused on the collection, but not a traditional masterworks exhibition," Bolton told the New York Times. "Something that connects to the zeitgeist, and what people are talking about now." Bolton came up with: "it's about time."
The Metropolitan Museum of Art will also be celebrating its 150 anniversary with an exhibition titled "About Time: Fashion and Duration."
Virginia Woolf will act as the show's "ghost narrator" with quotes from her time-based books including "Orlando," "Mrs. Dalloway" and "To the Lighthouse" appearing throughout the exhibition.
