NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Over 200,000 customers are still without power in New Jersey after severe storms hit the region Monday night.
This includes almost 200,000 Jersey Central Power & Light customers, 117,000 alone in Monmouth County and 54,000 PSEG customers.
Torrential downpours hit the region and winds in some places hit 60 miles per hour.
Local streets saw significant flooding and trees fell, damaging power lines.
Con Ed outages are still affecting 3,800 Queens customers and 2,600 Brooklyn customers.
This is out of 33,000 customers who were affected.

Additionally there are 2,200 PSEG Long Island customers currently without power.
