Trading halted on NYSE for 15 minutes after S&P 500 falls over 7%

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Trading has resumed on the New York Stock Exchange following a 15 minute halt after S&P 500 falls 7 percent on Monday.

The New York Stock Exchange triggered a "circuit breaker" on that would keep stocks from plummeting further.

Global stock markets and oil prices plunged after a fight among major crude-producing nations jolted investors who already were on edge about the surging costs of a virus outbreak.Another 15 minute pause will happen if the S&P 500 drops 13 percent to 2585.96.If it goes down 20 percent, to 2377.9, there could be a full market halt for the day.
