NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- President Trump has nominated Sarah Feinberg, interim president of New York City Transit since early March, to sit on the Amtrak Board of Directors.
The announcement was made in a press release from the White House Monday afternoon listing individuals being nominated to "key administration posts."
Feinberg's announcement lists her employment history, educational background and that she is a native of West Virginia.
At the federal level, Feinberg, 42, previously served as Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration and Chief of Staff to the former Secretary of Transportation. She also had a stint in the Obama White House.
Amtrak directors receive financial compensation so long as they are not federal employees.
