NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey has closed, apparently making the facility the first Trump property to shut down because of coronavirus, The Washington Post reported.
The club informed its members Tuesday in an email sent by general manager David Schutzenhofer.
He said that the clubhouse, fitness center and restaurants are closed. Schutzenhofer said the guidance from Gov. Phil Murphy banning gatherings of more than 50 people and requiring restaurants to close at 8 p.m.
The only part of the club that will remain open for now is one of two golf courses. But there's a caveat: Golfers will have to play without caddies or motorized carts.
"Accounting and administrative offices will remain open, but we are staggering schedules and practicing social distancing," Schutzenhofer wrote in the email. "If staff members are able to work from home, we have encouraged them to do so."
His email concluded with, "Wash your hands!"
