NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Utility workers found a decomposing body of a man in a Manhattan manhole early Tuesday morning, according to police.
Police responded to a 3:18 a.m. call from a Verizon worker who found the body inside a Manhattan only near Columbus Circle, at the intersection of West 58th Street and Eighth Avenue in Midtown.
EMS responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The medical examiner is to determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
