NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Manhole fires in Brooklyn on Friday morning caused a car fire and power outages.

Residents in Clinton Hill said they heard blasts shortly after 2 a.m. on Washington Avenue, near Myrtle Avenue, WABC reported.

The first manhole fire started at 157 Washington Ave. before spreading, the FDNY said.

Three apartment buildings also experienced outages because of the manhole fires.
