NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- "The View" is one of many shows taping without a studio audience -- and, wow, it sure did look odd not seeing an audience roaring with approval (or disapproval) when one of the hosts imparted some wisdom.
"So the coronavirus situation is still developing," Whoopi Goldberg said. "And for the first time ever, as you can see if you looked around, we made the decision not to have a studio audience ... This is unprecedented. This has never happened before."
She added, telling her co-hosts, "We're just trying to figure it out. It's gonna be like this for the next 45 minutes, so just sit back and enjoy the show."
