NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —The owner of a car was seriously injured after he hopped onto the hood after thieves tried to get away with it, only to either be thrown off or fall from the vehicle in Belleville Tuesday, police say.
Two men stole the owner's set of keys to his 2015 Lincoln, say police.
The owner noticed, and jumped on the hood.
He rode on the hood from High Street to Mill Street and Bridge Street.
The police are not sure if he was thrown from the vehicle or fell off.
The owner of the vehicle was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.
The two suspects got away.
