NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Gov. Andrew Cuomo's mother joined his daily coronavirus briefing by video to celebrate Mother's Day.

Matilda Cuomo spoke with her son and his three daughters; daughter Michaela was at the briefing, while Mariah and Cara joined by video.
"Happy Mother's Day to you mom. I miss you. I love you so, so much," Cuomo said. "I wish I could be with you, but I can't be because I love you. That's why I can't be with you, because I love you."
"I miss you too a lot, and your beautiful daughters," Matilda Cuomo said.
Cuomo said he has been keeping away from his mother because he is exposed to a lot of people and doesn't want to put her at risk.
"I am in a position where I am exposed to too many people and if I go see my mother—blame Dr. Zucker—the health commissioner says it would be risky for me to see my mother, because I want to make sure that I don't infect her with anything," Cuomo said. "She's stronger than I am and she's smarter than I am, but I just want to make sure that we don't do that."
Cuomo said he's looking forward to things getting back to normal so he can spend time with his mom again.
"This is going to be over, and then we're going to get back to life as normal and we're going to have fun," the governor said. "And then you can spend more time with me. I know I am your favorite. I know you don't want to say that because you have (my sister) Maria there. But we'll get to spend time together and we'll look back at this and we'll say that we're the better for it."
"That's right. There's a time for everything, Andrew," his mother told him.
