NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- No one has a better view -- or bird's eye view, at least -- of Hurricane Dorian, than the astronauts orbiting 248 miles above the Earth on the International Space Station.
NASA's ISS Twitter feed posted video late Friday afternoon of the hurricane, shot earlier in the day.
"Cameras outside the space station captured these views of rapidly intensifying #HurricaneDorian at 12:18pm ET on August 30 as it churned over the Atlantic Ocean." read a tweet.
NASA said it will track Hurricane Dorian throughout the weekend. The agency will provide status updates on the storm as it nears Florida and NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on the state’s central east coast, as well as updated video and imagery.
