NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Surveillance footage caught a masked man as he pried open a safe at a Brooklyn medallion broker and took approximately $170,000.
Police say on Friday, November 15, at 1 a.m., the suspect entered a medallion broker store at 1817 Coney Island Avenue in Midwood through an unsecured rear door.
Once inside, the thief took cash and jewelry from a locked safe with an estimated value of approximately $170,000, according to authorities.
The suspect fled on foot to parts unknown.
Police describe the suspect as a male with a mask covering his entire head and face. He was last seen wearing all dark clothing.
A reward up to $2,500 is being offered by NYPD.
