NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- WFAN's Mike Francesa is leaving the afternoon drive time and is expected to go at the end of 2019. Francesa, 65, shared the details of his departure with Newsday.

Francesa is expected to contunue to have a role with Radio.com - which, like WFAN and 1010 WINS, is part of Entercom - and may still have a “limited” role on WFAN.

There is no set date for Francesa's last day, but it could come right after the end of the fall ratings period in early December.Previously, Francesa retired from WFAN in 2017 after a farewell tour but returned to the station just four months later and has been back on the air since May 2018.

No word on if there will be a replacement.
