NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Whoopi Goldberg believes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has disrespected older Democratic lawmakers such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Dianne Feinstein -- and she didn't hold back from letting Ocasio-Cortez how she felt, during the congresswoman's appearance on "The View" Thursday.
"I was very happy when you were elected because I thought it was a great step ... and then you lost me, because it felt like you were saying to people like me that I was too old and didn't do enough," Goldberg told Ocasio-Cortez.
"Oh, no," Ocasio-Cortez responded.
Goldberg continued, "Well, that's what it sounded like and so that has bothered me because I feel like I love young people .. but you're on my shoulders."
"Absolutely," Ocasio-Cortez responded.
Goldberg further explained, "And we have carried this fight."
Goldberg added that Ocasio-Cortez's previous dismissal of the criticism "bothered the hell out of me," Goldberg said. "And I've been very upset about it for a long time."
