NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A teenage tourist from Wyoming was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon after she tried to bring a pistol into the Empire State Building on Monday, the NYPD said.
Sabrina Allee, 18, put a backpack containing an unloaded 9mm Ruger through a screening machine at the landmark skyscraper in midtown Manhattan around 12 p.m. on Monday, police said.
Allee was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, the NYPD said.
She did have a valid license and permit for the pistol in Wyoming, police said. Her attorney information wasn’t immediately available.
