NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The world remembered Betty White on Friday after the legendary actress died at 99.
White, who was just two weeks shy of her centennial birthday, died at her home Friday morning, leaving behind a TV legacy that spanned decades.
Among those reacting to her death were President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden.
The president told reporters Friday, "That's a shame, she was as lovely lady."
"Ninety-nine years old—as my mother would say, 'God love her,'" he continued.
"Who didn't love Betty White?" the first lady said. "We're so sad."
William Shatner, Ellen DeGeneres, LeVar Burton and others celebs were also remembering the pop culture icon, who starred in sitcoms like "The Golden Girls" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show."
Shatner recalled her as a "sweetheart to the world and a gift to the entertainment world," while Burton tweeted, "we have lost one of the best humans ever."
"What an exceptional life," DeGeneres wrote on Twitter. "I'm grateful for every second I got to spend with Betty White."

I loved Betty White, so I went up to them: "I'm so honored to meet you both." And then I said, "Isn't Linda great?" She said, "We came to see you." I said, "Why?" "Because we heard you were funny." I was elated.
