NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Chris Rock is back on stage — and in a way, he’s “back from the dead.”

The comedian kicked off opening night Sunday of Robert Glasper’s residency at Manhattan’s Blue Note Jazz Club, and made sure everyone knew he was back in a big way after a bout with COVID-19, according to Page Six.

“I’m back from the dead! I had COVID, I had motherf------ COVID,” he said.

Rock was joined alongside Dave Chapelle, a double surprise to the audience, according to Page Six sources.

“It wasn’t quite as hard as being Black, but it was close … that’s why everyone’s trying to avoid it man,” Rock said.

Rock also reportedly said he thinks he got the virus while filming a “civil rights movie.” To which Chapelle responded, "That's a noble way to get COVID."

Rock made headlines last month when he told fans to get vaccinated after contracted COVID, saying, “Trust me, you don’t want this.”

Sources told Page Six that the Rock and Chapelle joined up with Kanye West, SNL’s Michael Che and rapper Talib Kweli, who toasted to the night on Instagram.
