MANVILLE, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A small plane crashed in the front yard of a New Jersey home, leaving one person aboard the aircraft injured, authorities said.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the single-engine Mooney M20M crashed at around 1 p.m. Monday on South Main Street in Manville, not far from Central Jersey Regional Airport in neighboring Hillsborough Township.
The plane had departed earlier in the day from an airport in Greensboro, N.C., but it wasn't immediately clear how many people were on board.

One person aboard the plane suffered undisclosed facial injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Parts of South Main Street were shut down due to the downed wires caused by the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board.
