NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ WCBS 880 NEWS) – A man and woman were arrested on Sunday in connection to a series of package thefts in Mineola, Long Island, Nassau County Police said.
Charles Frisoulis of Elmhurst, 50, and Christine Frisoulis of Avington, Pennsylvania, 55, were arrested after allegedly stealing packages from front doors, according to police.
Prior to the arrest, police received multiple calls about stolen packages in the Williston Park area. One witness reported seeing a suspect taking packages from front doors and fleeing in a Chevrolet.
An investigation began and the couple was found.
During the arrest, Christine was found with methamphetamine, a glass pipe with a burnt substance believed to be methamphetamine, and Hydrocodone pills without a prescription, according to the police.
Charles was also found to be in violation of an active order of protection.
Charles was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, as well as criminal contempt.
Christine faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny.
Both were scheduled for arraignment on Monday.
