NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ WCBS 880 NEWS) – Four people were arrested on Long Island early Friday after cops pulled them over during a traffic stop and found drugs inside, Nassau County police said.
At around 12 a.m., Jessica Cruz, 25, Johnathan Faneytt, 29, Reggie Kelleher, 19, and Jessica Herrador, 25, were arrested in Atlantic Beach for possession of controlled substances.
Officers pulled over the suspects' Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Park Street and Ithaca Street for several traffic violations.
During the stop, the driver, Cruz, 25, was seen throwing a switchblade knife, police said. The front passenger, Faneytt, 29 attempted to hide something under his seat. The other two passengers, Kelleher and Herrador were in the backseat.
After an investigation, several packages suspected to be LSD, cocaine, and MDMA were found in Cruz's purse, along with metal brass knuckles.
Under Faneytt's seat and in a black leather bag in the vehicle, substances believed to be cocaine were also found, police said.
Additional charges against Cruz include criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third and fourth degrees, along with multiple traffic infractions.
Faneytt faces additional charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree.
They were all scheduled for arraignment on Friday.
