NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a man wanted in connection to an attempted armed robbery at a Brooklyn Family Dollar store earlier this month.
The incident happened at approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, when the suspect approached a cashier inside of a Family Dollar located at 455 Dumont Avenue in Brownsville and displayed a black firearm, authorities said.
According to officials, the suspect demanded money from the register and safe.
The cashier refused and asked the individual to leave the store.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction and did not successfully remove any property or money from the store, police said.
Officials describe the suspect as a man with a medium complexion., He was last seen wearing a blue Yankees baseball hat, brown leather jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers and a black surgical mask.
