Billy Joel will headline a New Year’s Eve bash at UBS Arena on the night of Dec. 31—the first time in five years he's performed on Long Island.
The concert, announced Thursday, will be his first performance ever at the recently opened UBS Arena at Belmont Park.
Arena president Kim Stone said they're “thrilled” to welcome Joel back to the island.
“To have such an iconic artist as our New Year’s Eve show is an honor,” Stone said. “We look forward to ringing in the New Year with him and our guests later this year.”
Tickets to the general public will be for sale on Ticketmaster starting at 10 a.m. on Sept. 15. Citi presale tickets start at 10 a.m. on Sept. 11.
News of the New Year's show comes three months after Joel, 74, announced in June that he will end his record-breaking residency at Madison Square Garden in July 2024 after 10 years and 150 concerts.
