NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — CNN executive Allison Gollust has resigned from the company -- nearly two weeks after Jeff Zucker's departure -- after a third-party investigation into anchor Chris Cuomo revealed that Gollust and Zucker had a romantic relationship and violated company policies.

In a memo shared with The Hollywood Reporter, WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar announced the resignation, saying the investigation included interviews with more than 40 individuals and a review of over 100,000 texts and emails which found “violations of Company policies, including CNN’s News Standards and Practices, by Jeff Zucker, Allison Gollust, and Chris Cuomo,” the memo said.

As the former chairman of WarnerMedia news and sports and president of CNN, Zucker resigned on Feb. 2 after he was probed about a relationship with Gollust, who headed marketing and communications for CNN, during questioning related to the network’s investigation of Cuomo.

After Andrew Cuomo was accused of sexual assault last year, his brother Chris was fired from CNN for his conduct in defense of the former governor.

Zucker said in a statement that he was wrong for not disclosing his relationship with Gollust when it began in a statement.

According to Gollust, the two had been friends for 20 years but the relationship changed during COVID. She, too, said she regrets not disclosing it “at the right time.”

Michael Bass, who oversees CNN programming, Ken Jautz, leading operations, business affairs and HLN, and Amy Entelis, in charge of talent and content development, have replaced Zucker in the interim.
