HARTFORD, CT (1010 WINS) -- Schools in Connecticut can keep requiring students to wear masks, a judge ruled Monday, according to a report.

In an 11-page ruling, Judge Thomas Moukawsher denied an emergency request seeking to halt the requirement, the Hartford Courant reported.

The CT Freedom Alliance and a group of parents sought the request, claiming that masks are harmful to children, as well as ineffective.

"Nothing the Connecticut government has done about school mask wearing has been shown as irrational and dangerous rather than, like all human action, in some ways imperfect," Moukawsher wrote, according to the outlet.

"Indeed, it aligns with ordinary expectations," he added.
