HARTFORD, CT (1010 WINS) -- Connecticut reported a 6.74 percent COVID-19 infection rate on Tuesday after adding two states to its travel advisory.
Travelers entering Connecticut from Maine and New Hampshire must now self-quarantine for 14 days, Gov. Ned Lamont said Tuesday afternoon.
Only five states and one territory — New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Rhode Island, Hawaii and the U.S. Virgin Islands — were not on Connecticut’s travel advisory list as of Tuesday, the state’s website shows.
Of the 22,612 COVID-19 test results that came back in Connecticut on Tuesday, 1,524, or 6.74 percent, were positive, Lamont said.
The state reported nine new COVID-19 fatalities, bringing its death toll to 4,707, data from its health department shows.
As of Monday evening, 548 Connecticut residents were hospitalized with COVID-19, up by 52 from Sunday, the governor said.
