NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A house fire raged early Saturday morning on Long Island, killing two brothers and injuring two others who were in the home, Suffolk County Police said.

Emergency responders went to the West Islip home after receiving a 5:53 a.m. 911 call that reported a fire at the residence, police said.

Two brothers who lived at the residence, Matthew Kreamer and Kyle Dilegame, were found dead inside the home, police confirmed.
Kreamer was 24 and Dilegame was only 16.

Both Toni Kreamer, 53, and Joseph Dilegame, 54, who lived at the residence were transported by the West Islip fire Department to Good Samaritan University Hospital to treat injuries sustained in the fire.

Kreamer sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but Dilegame was subsequently transported to Stony Brook University Medical Center to treat serious injuries, officials said.

1010 WINS/WCBS 880 spoke with West Islip Assistant Fire Chief Robert Celeste, who said the house was engulfed in fire by the time firefighters arrived.

Kreamer and Dilegame were rescued from the second floor and suffered burns and smoke inhalation, and the two brothers were found dead on the first floor, Celeste said.

A preliminary investigation determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal.

The investigation by the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad and Arson Section is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.
