FORT LEE, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A driver was killed and a baby injured Sunday night when their car crashed into a disabled tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said.
The crash happened just after 9 p.m. in the express lanes in Fort Lee, according to state Police.
A Toyota Camry driven by 34-year-old Justin Veras crashed with the rear of a disabled Kenworth tractor-trailer in the right lane, officials said.
A 20-month-old child, who was a passenger in the car, was injured and taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other details were given and an investigation remains ongoing.
