PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Two women were arrested Monday in connection to fetal remains which were found in the basement of a New Jersey home last week, authorities said.

Police officers were called to a Wayne home on Sunday from a report of remains discovered inside a storage container in the basement which were later found to be the child of 33-year-old Nicole Tsentas who had given birth in July 2020, officials said.
Tsentas’ alleged baby was not breathing or moving after birth so she took the baby to her home, wrapped it in a blanket and put it in her closet, police said.
Not long after the birth, Tstentas told 36-year-old Amanda Walker about the baby and Walker helped Tsentas bring the remains to the Wayne home and put it in the storage container, cops said.
Neither of the women lived at the Wayne house so when Tsentas wanted to retrieve the container, she asked the current homeowners. The homeowners went to retrieve the container from the basement, opened the container and made the gruesome discovery. They then called police.
The remains are now at the Medical Examiner’s Office and the results of the autopsy are pending.
Both women are charged with disturbing and desecrating human remains. Their next court appearance is scheduled for Friday.
