SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A baby girl left alone for several hours in a parked car in Rockland County was found dead Tuesday, police said.
Authorities are actively investigating after officers responded to Ridge Avenue in Spring Valley at 4:40 p.m. and discovered the 1-year-old dead.
Police haven't said what they suspect may have caused the girl's death.
It's unclear who was supposed to be looking after the girl at the time.
No arrests have been reported at this time.
The investigation is being conducted by the Spring Valley Police Department, the Sheriff's Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Rockland Child Protective Services and the Rockland Medical Examiner's Office.
