DEER PARK, N.Y. (WCBS 880) — Police on Tuesday released surveillance video of a vehicle involved in two pellet gun shooting incidents on Long Island that left a 12-year-old girl.
Police said the child was walking in the parking lot of the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park around 5:20 p.m. Monday when she was struck by a pellet fired from an airsoft gun by a person in a passing vehicle.
The girl was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police later determined the same vehicle was involved in a similar incident on Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon just 20 minutes earlier.

Video of that incident shows a person in the passenger seat opening fire on three people standing on a corner across the street from a Buffalo Wild Wings. One of the pedestrians can be seen ducking as the shot goes off.
No one was injured in that incident.
The vehicle was described as a dark-colored four-door sedan, possibly a Hyundai Elantra, believed to be occupied by three or four males.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
