NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — First Lady Jill Biden will travel to New Jersey Friday to stump for New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy in his quest to secure a second term next month.

Biden, a New Jersey native, will join Murphy and New Jersey First Lady in an Early Vote Rally in Edison at Middlesex College.

Former President Barack Obama will also appear with the governor at a rally in Newark on Oct. 23, coinciding with the first day of in-person early voting — the first in-person early vote period for the Garden State in its history.

Murphy is facing a challenge from Republican Jack Ciattarelli, a former member of the New Jersey Assembly. The general election will be held on Nov. 2.

Vice President Kamala Harris is also traveling to New Jersey on Friday, while President Joe Biden will head to Hartford, Connecticut.
