SAG HARBOR, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Justin Timberlake was arrested in the Hamptons and accused of driving while intoxicated, authorities said Tuesday.
Sag Harbor police confirmed Timberlake, 43, was taken into custody early Tuesday in the coastal village, which is a popular summer hotspot for wealthy visitors.
At around midnight, cops spotted Timberlake driving a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street. Timberlake "failed to stop at a posted stop sign and did not maintain his lane of travel", police said.
A police officer then initiated a traffic stop. During the investigation, it was determined that Timberlake was driving while intoxicated.
Timberlake was subsequently arrested, processed, and held overnight for arraignment.
The pop singer was released from custody later Tuesday morning after being charged with one DWI count, according to the Suffolk County D.A.'s Office. His next court date is scheduled for July 26.

Timberlake’s representatives did not immediately return requests for comment from the Associated Press.
Timberlake, who has won 10 Grammys over the years, has two upcoming shows in Chicago on Friday and Saturday, then is scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden next week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
