
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A driver struck multiple people in Midtown Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon, killing one person and injuring two others, the FDNY said.
The driver hit the victims around 2:40 p.m. at West 40th Street and Fifth Avenue, near the New York Public Library.
One person was pronounced dead on arrival, the FDNY said.
Of the two injured, one person was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue and the other refused further medical attention at the scene.
It wasn't immediately clear if the driver remained at the scene. An investigation into the crash is ongoing by police.
